Always begin with clean skin.
Apply a Soul Skin® serum, elixir or moisturizer to provide enough slip for the tool to glide without pulling the skin.
Hold the gua sha nearly flat against the skin rather than using the edge at a sharp angle.
Use light, comfortable pressure and repeat each movement three to five times.
Begin at the neck and glide gently toward the collarbone.
Move from the center of the chin outward along the jawline.
Glide from the corners of the mouth toward the ears.
Sweep from the sides of the nose outward across the cheeks.
Use very light pressure beneath the eyes, moving toward the temples.
Finish by gliding from the brows upward and outward across the forehead.
Use slow, intentional movements.
The skin may appear temporarily flushed after massage, but the technique should never feel painful or leave significant bruising.
Professional Tip
Keep your gua sha in the refrigerator (not the freezer) for an enhanced cooling experience in the morning or whenever the skin looks puffy.
For best results, focus on consistency rather than pressure.
Gentle, regular massage is more beneficial than pressing aggressively or scraping the skin.
